My Approach
Empowering your journey toward wellness.
I believe in providing culturally appropriate Reiki that acknowledges and respects the origins of this healing practice while adapting it to fit diverse cultural contexts. It emphasizes the importance of understanding Reiki's roots in Japanese traditions and values, ensuring that practitioners honor its principles. By integrating cultural sensitivity, practitioners can create a welcoming environment for individuals from various backgrounds, allowing for a more meaningful and personal healing experience. This approach fosters inclusivity and promotes a deeper connection to the practice of Reiki.
Land & Labor Acknowledgements
We work and live on or near the ancestral homelands of the Coast Salish, Duwamish, Puyallup, and Muckleshoot people. We have a responsibility to acknowledge our Indigenous connections and the histories of Indigenous land dispossession as part of our existence.
We also pause to recognize and acknowledge the labor upon which our country, state, and institutions are built.
We remember that our country is built on the labor of enslaved people who were kidnapped and brought to the U.S. from the African continent and recognize the continued contribution of their survivors. We also acknowledge all immigrant labor, including voluntary, involuntary, trafficked, forced, and undocumented people who contributed to the building of the country and continue to serve within our labor force. We acknowledge all unpaid caregiving labor.
To the people who contributed this immeasurable work and their descendants, we acknowledge our/their indelible mark on the space in which we gather today. It is our collective responsibility to critically interrogate these histories, to repair harm, and to honor, protect, and sustain this land.
Real Rent
I acknowledge with deep gratitude that I live and work on the traditional lands and waters of the first people of Seattle, the Dkhw’Duw’Absh, the Duwamish People past and present. I stand in solidarity with the Duwamish Tribe and gladly pay Real Rent.
